LIVING ROOM In the living room, the classic English roll-arm sofa is by George Sherlock. The barrel-back chairs are from the 1940s. The cabinet at the back of the room was custom-made from a pair of demi-lune doors Einhorn purchased at an estate sale; she had a carpenter build color-matched sides and a back for them, and included the footprint of the piece in the home’s floor plan so that it would fit perfectly between the French doors. The fireplace is honed bluestone.

DINING ROOM In the dining room, located off to the side of the kitchen, the oak table is a find from an estate sale; the chairs are unpainted Chiavari “ballroom” chairs; the wool flat-weave rug is from Ruby Beets. “I like cooking and then bringing it right to the table,” says Einhorn of the room’s configuration.

EXTERIOR Sharone Einhorn’s East Hampton home might be a dupe for classic Long Island architecture, but it’s actually a modular design. The modern resin benches are a Ruby Beets collaboration with Pennoyer Newman.

LIVING ROOM The trestle table in the living room came from a printing press. The painting of a man’s back, above it, is a flea-market find. “I think it’s Victorian,” says Einhorn. “Probably just a studio or art student—I’m not sure. It’s beautiful though.” The walls in the living room are Benjamin Moore’s Classic Gray at 100 percent pigmentation.

LIBRARY The library lies at one end of the living room, behind a pair of sliding pocket doors. Inside, floor-to-ceiling shelves are clad in bleached white oak for a modern, unfussy effect. The walls are painted in Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter.

KITCHEN In the kitchen, two oversized Fontana Arte Amax light fixtures preside over the kitchen island, which comprises modified antique cabinets topped with quartz. The cabinetry is bleached white oak, and the paint is Benjamin Moore’s Classic Gray at 200 percent pigmentation.

GUEST ROOM One of four bedrooms features a vintage iron Dutch canopy bed and a pair of Parsons-style nightstands, made to order by Ruby Beets. Einhorn clamped a Kuba cloth onto the back of the bed to make a headboard. The quilt is an Indian block print cotton toile.

MAIN BEDROOM In the primary bedroom, a vintage nickel English canopy bed is dressed in vintage linens and flanked by Moroccan table lamps, both from Ruby Beets. A contemporary Murano glass chandelier hangs above the bed.

MAIN BEDROOM Einhorn commissioned local decorative painter Rory Conway to create stripes in the master bedroom instead of opting for wallpaper. “Each stripe is a little bit different. It’s the same colorways [as the other rooms]; we just played around with the classic gray and made the saturation a little deeper, added some glaze,” Einhorn explains. “It’s great when you’re in it.”

MAIN BATHROOM The same antique cabinetry Einhorn installed in the kitchen and dining room is utilized in the master bathroom as a glass-fronted linen closet. “There’s something about having a freestanding cabinet that grounds the room more than just a wall of doors," she says. “It gives it some architecture.”
